study HOLIDAYS!!

It's that time of the year again where you have more than 15 days during which you are supposed to study for the semester exams.Yes, the study holidays are here. The thing about study holidays is that it does not even feel once like study holidays until the point where the exam is two days from now.

The first day of the study holidays is reserved for doing nothing.Granted, the rest of the days are also whiled away but on the first day you do not do a single thing, not even get out of the house. You sit there in the couch contemplating on how you are going the spend the rest of the days which of course would not work out, but you do it anyway.

Now the second day goes on like this, you check the date of the start of the examination only to find out that you've got more than 15 days. This brainwashes your brain to not take out the books from the bookshelf. You while away time as usual watching TV, playing, the usual stuff.

A few days pass by and you do not even remember that you have exams coming up in the next week or so.Now, the interesting thing about study holidays is that these days fare better than the days allotted for vacation.During the vacation, it's always boring and the fact that the expectations for the vacation are always high.It is not that we are going on a trip to Venus while on the vacations but somehow the word excites us only to find out out that there's nothing more you would do on a vacation than waiting for normal classes to resume. It is the opposite. The words "study holidays" aren't exactly exciting and the word vacation somewhat makes our brain think "enjoyment to the core" .

Coming back to Study holidays, there are 5-6 days left.It is at this point of time you do the most important work of finding out where the books are.Now this is not an easy task.it is easy to find out out whether Mars is a planet suitable for life, but the job of finding the books required takes a real skill.Once you complete the almost impossible task of finding the books, the next process is to draw out a plan which lists the subjects which must be studied every day.The specialty of this plan is that it will never work out.Seriously, the person who can stick to the plan or the itinerary deserves a Nobel prize.

Days pass by and you study a portion so little that it can be compared with the dinner of a tiny ant during the time when food is scarce and the sense of satisfaction that one gets after studying the described mammoth portion is heavenly.

We're down to the last two days and it is at this point the level of commitment and dedication is at its peak, making those scaling the peaks of the highest mountains to look like kids.Despite this, a majority of the subject is covered the night before the exam,a sad outcome in spite of breathing fire the last two days.

On the E-Day, you finish your exam and wonder how you could've done done better if the study holidays were utilized properly instead of watching cats playing on the YouTube. This thought persists only for a few hours and a few more when the results are out.

And when the next holiday season arrives, that is the study holiday season you know what happens!!

From College!

Yes you read the title right!I'm staring at the desktop screen from my college. The hour after the lunch interval.Usually the hour is accompanied by the sweet charms of slumber unless it turns out to be a so called hour called as the project hour where you must do research about your project which obviously the students don't do and surf the internet. The interesting thing here is that you do the same thing at home. But it gives you some pleasure of doing the same at the college. It is kind of similar to the act where breaking rules gives the sweet pleasure.Yea..This is not breaking the rules in a major way but yea. Some of them answering questions on Quora. Some of them reading(yea we've got those kind too) and finally myself, seizing the opportunity to update my precious blog.

Random Rambling or is it !!?

It's a Monday afternoon and i'm staring at the laptop screen writing the latest post to my blog which i think about once in a red moon(yea red not blue because there was literally a red moon one day unlike the blue moon which is used in a metaphorical sense). The name of the post is already enough to understand what might be contained within this highly eloquent piece.(yes there will be hints of sarcasm)It is a fact that people wonder a lot about the tiniest of things with me not being an exception of course. It is summer down here in Chennai and true to its legacy of being a city where heat waves greeting people frequently are not a rare sight, people are so accustomed to the weather that hats and umbrellas have lost their respect.I pity them of course(the hats and the umbrellas not the people).Having said all this, this time (that's right there are two this's continuously thank you)the intensity of the heat seems to be so unbearable that the crows have no time to drop the pebbles in the jug to drink the water.Even the dogs in the street find it quite unbearable and i feel bad for them because there are certain dogs which are pampered in their homes with the air conditioners and the mongrels have no other option but to bear the brunt of the heat. Now i am beginning to believe what  DiCaprio said at the Oscars about climate change being real after having experienced some real heat myself.Coming back to the situation here, the temperature recorded is the same as is every year but this time one could feel the mercurial prick. You can almost feel that something else is going on(yea the devil's hand at work..no kidding). Now there has been a lot of talk about the infamous global warming and Hollywood exploiting it to make mega budget movies which were of course not so mega in terms of their story line. Instead of giving the Wikipedia definition of global warming which i of course don't know i would like to address the issue at a much lower level as i was not involved in any Copenhagen summit(Not that i complain that they haven't invited me though). In places like Chennai it is not uncommon for the water in your tap to be so hot that you wonder when they installed the heater but this time the furniture in the house turns hot too making it quite uncomfortable to sit and write a single post for a blog which is underrated(NO i am not talking about my blog in case you were wondering). The situation is such where nature takes the revenge against human beings for just studying "WAYS TO IMPROVE THE ENVIRONMENT" in their environmental studies book but not implementing it.This issue seems to be something critical than terrorism because the opposition is nature and it can be as brutal as it is beautiful(definitely something terrorists can't be).Nature is enraged by the atrocious activities of human beings and it fights back. I believe this is something which has to be taken up seriously and given much importance over everything else because lets face it,people can't be stuck inside their homes updating their Facebook status when an acid rain containing toxic chemicals wreaks havoc(Not that i expect it to happen)They say that the snow clad mountains are losing their sheen and are melting,People don't even care and they don't mind when some mountain far far away melts. The interesting thing is that most of them don't even realize that this is an indication that there is an rise in temperature .They would really notice the drop in WiFi signal and get irritated. Now i am not saying that i keep track of the height of Mount Everest everyday it's just that there is some action to be taken on a bigger level that no single individual can achieve.People say "it's a jungle out there " to denote creepy, bad places to live.I reckon aliens will be using the term "it's an earth out there".Climate change is real must be made the top priority and i am certainly not ripping off from any of DiCaprio's speech. If the air conditioners emit chlorofluorocarbons, then are there none of them at the UN which is inclined towards the agenda for climate change?I started with it is a Monday afternoon, now it's evening and it still looks like afternoon outside. This post is not certainly one to pass the time or to make the blog active but something which has been on my mind. The only thing is that i wish the UN headquarters to be shifted to INDIA because i am certain that immediate agenda would be implemented regarding  climate change when the guys feel the same prick that i am feeling due to the heat,Cheers!

LIFE(yea the most unique title :P)

Life is beautiful but not always easy, it has problems, too and the challenge lies in facing them with courage, letting the beauty of life take its course. There is no human being on Earth, strong, powerful, wise or rich, who has not experienced, struggle, suffering or failure. There is no doubt that that life must be regarded as the best thing that happened to us, but one should be ready to face the obstacles that life throws at us. Failure is something that torments human beings like nothing ever. One must learn to accept failure and embrace it with the right sense of mind. If you don’t know something accept it, no harm ever comes from speaking the truth. To quote the protagonist Will Smith from the movie The Pursuit of Happiness “I’m the type of person that if you ask me a question and I don't know the answer, I'm gonna tell you that I don't know. But I bet you what, I know how to find the answer and I will find the answer”. Life takes you to rock bottom but you have got to fight back. Crawl under, jump over, move mountains or die trying. Do not crack under pressure because if you crack under pressure, if you allow the slightest instance of pressure to get to you, that’s it, you’re done. Difficulties test the courage, patience, perseverance and true character of a human being. There simply cannot be life without the people surrounding you. People are of different types. No two individual is same and we can go to very extent of saying that no two organisms are same in this universe. People may throw you under the bus, they must see through you. You can’t expect everyone to be cordial. Do not reciprocate anger or negative qualities because if you do, it just degrades you even further. It may give you the temporary feeling of satisfaction but in the end it is going to ultimately bring you down. Learn the art of extracting the good qualities from people. Perseverance is another key element that one must possess. You must persevere to achieve your goal. Procrastinating things will never prove effective in the long run. People who strive hard will ultimately end up achieving their target in life. To sum up life is not a bed of roses but it is not a bed of razors as well, life must be enjoyed but one must be prepared to bear the pricks that occur.

Fascination created by hackers:

Whenever we see a report on the newspapers citing about the hackers ,we are immediately drawn towards them. The Illegal Hackers or Black hats are geeks who try to break into the computer networks .If suppose we see an information about a hacker stealing millions of dollars from a bank by hacking its website,we are blown away by it.But in the same case,if we see an information regarding an ethical hacker or a legal hacker who has performed some tasks with his skill of hacking,we are not fascinated as much as we were in the previous case.

Not many people know about the legal hackers who strive to serve the country from cyber crime and other malicious activities of the black hats.Black hats fascinate everyone particularly the young minds more than the ethical hackers. The young people are so enthralled by these black hats to an extreme extent such that they start downloading the hacking software and start using them. The main reason for hacking being more bedazzling is that the hackers use their brains rather than their brawn to commit the crime. The black hats are those group of people who have humongous knowledge such that they flounder to establish a restraint over their brains. They become snotty and they wish to show the people their might. This situation is similar to a Superhero movie where the villain misuses his powers. The interesting concept here is that even knowledge can be perilous if not utilized properly. These black hats, if they had not turned so,would have made wonders in the field of computer science. The advice here is that we must not get fascinated by the black hats because even they are just criminals.

MARS GETS MOM!!

24 September 2014..a day that marked INDIA'S landmark feat. The MARS ORBITER MISSION(MOM) was deemed successful as the spacecraft had entered the martian orbit.
It signifies the humongous growth of technology, of a nation that was lagging behind many countries a few decades ago.The important point is that it marks the culmination of Vikram Sarabhai's dream.

India has once again proved that with perseverance anything is possible.
It is only a matter of time before INDIA send a manned spacecraft to mars!!
